The A299 standard includes two grades: SA299 Gr.A and SA299 Gr.B. The execution standard for SA299 Gr.A steel plate is ASME SA-299/SA-299M-2015 (Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels).
Chemical composition of SA299 Gr.A steel plate:
SA299 Gr.A steel plate delivery conditions:
Hot-rolled, normalized, tempered, normalized and tempered, or quenched and tempered; delivery conditions may also be specified according to technical requirements.
Through-thickness property requirements: Z15, Z25, Z35.
Ultrasonic testing requirements: Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3.
Applications of SA299 Gr. A Steel Plate:
Used in industries such as boilers, chemicals, power generation, and petroleum.
