AISI 1020 steel is a general purpose carbon steel suitable for surface hardening. It has high machinability, high strength, high ductility and good weld-ability.

AISI 1020 steel plate can be used for drilling, turning, milling and tapping operations using suitable feeds, tool type and speeds.
