Characteristics of G4109 SCMV4 Steel Plate
Mechanical Properties
High-Temperature Strength: Maintains high yield strength (≥250 MPa) and tensile strength (430–630 MPa) at temperatures of 500–600°C, making it suitable for long-term high-temperature service applications.
Toughness: Exhibits an elongation of ≥25% and high reduction of area, ensuring excellent impact resistance.
Hardness: Achieves uniform hardness through quenching and tempering (heat treatment), balancing strength and ductility.
Welding and Fabrication Performance
Weldability: The low carbon content and titanium (Ti) microalloying design significantly reduce the tendency for embrittlement in the heat-affected zone (HAZ), allowing performance retention without post-weld heat treatment.
Fabricability: Can be processed via cold forming, cutting, bending, and other techniques, accommodating complex structural manufacturing.
Surface Quality: The steel plate features a smooth surface free from cracks, slag inclusions, and other defects, facilitating subsequent coating or corrosion protection treatments.
Corrosion Resistance
Oxidation Resistance: Chromium forms a dense oxide film on the surface, effectively resisting high-temperature oxidation and hot corrosion.
Sulfur Corrosion Resistance: Molybdenum enhances the material's corrosion resistance in sulfur-containing environments, making it suitable for industrial chimneys, exhaust gas treatment, and similar applications.
Steam Corrosion Resistance: The oxide film can self-repair in humid or steam-laden environments, extending service life.
