Hot Rolled ASTM A36 Low Carbon steel

ASTM A36 low carbon steel is the most common type of steel used in construction. A36 Steel is the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) designation for carbon steel.

Hot Rolled ASTM A36 steel covers the forming tanks, bins, bearing plates, fixtures, rings, templates, jigs, sprockets, cams, gears, base plates, forgings, ornamental works, stakes, brackets, automotive and agricultural equipment, frames, machinery parts.

Hot Rolled ASTM A36 Low Carbon steel significantly offers a yield strength of 36,000 psi and an allowable bending stress of 22,000 psi. The properties of ASTM A36 steel allows it to deform steadily as stress is increased beyond its yield strength in order to allow the buildings to stand long enough after the limits of a structure have been met in an emergency thus allowing the inhabitants to exit safely before collapse takes place.
