ASTM A515 steel
ASTM A515 steel covers carbon steel plate for use in pressure vessels at ambient and higher temperature service. ASTM A515 steel involved for the specification is basically similar to AISI 1330 steel.
ASTM A515 steel plates are available in three grades having different strength levels: Grade 60; Grade 65; and Grade 70. ASTM A515 steel shall be killed and made to a coarse austenitic grain size practice. ASTM A515 steel shall conform to the chemical requirements specified. Tension test shall be made to conform to the requirements specified.
Grade 60: ASTM A515 gr60 steel
Grade 65: ASTM A515 gr65 steel
Grade 70: ASTM A515 gr70 steel
